As of July 2024, Hardwell’s net worth is estimated to be roughly $23 Million.

Early Life

Robbert van de Corput was born on January 7, 1988, in Breda, Netherlands.

He is the son of Anneke and Cor van de Corput. At only four years old, he began taking piano lessons and attending a music school.

Corput began performing as a hip-hop DJ at twelve and recorded his first electro songs simultaneously. The DJ and producer Tiësto highly influenced him.

Career

Robbert van de Corput began taking piano lessons at age four and produced his electro songs at twelve.

His inspiration came from Tiësto, who made him explore the commercial electronic dance music scene more, paving the way to success.

Not long after, he was approached by Dutch producer duo Klubbheads and offered a record deal with the Digidance record label.

Teaming Up With Tiësto

After signing the record deal with Digidance, he released his first official single, “Play It Round,” which gained popularity in Germany.

A year later, Hardwell launched “Never Knew Love,” collaborating with Greatski. The single quickly hit the official German Single Charts.

At the same time, he founded his own record label, “Revealed Records,” with the sole purpose of being able to release EDM by young talents.

Each year, he releases a compilation called “Hardwell Presents Revealed,” which launches new tracks by the label and Hardwell himself.

In 2011, he signed a contract with “Kontor Records”, a German label, which enabled him to broaden his audience range.

That same year, he collaborated with Tiësto on “Zero 76,” a track used for the “Energy” festival’s theme song, and that hit number one on the Beatport charts.

Hardwell then launched his own podcast, “Hardwell On Air,” to reach fans, make guest appearances, and share new material.

He ranked behind Skrillex, at number 24, in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs for the first time, his second-highest result ever.

Hardwell released “Spaceman” a year later, which sold over half a million in the U.S. and popularized the “Big Room House” genre.

Releasing A Documentary

As if that weren’t enough, he performed at festivals, including Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, which earned him sixth place in the DJ Mag Top 100.

In 2013, Hardwell began the “I Am Hardwell” bus tour through Canada alongside colleagues Dannic and Dyro.

This was done in collaboration with Revealed Records, and the trio, known as the “Dutch House Mafia,” accompanied him throughout his following tour.

He released “Apollo” and “Never Say Goodbye,” which played at “Tomorrowland” and “Ultra Fest,” getting over 80,000 viewers.

Hardwell then launched his track “Dare You,” featuring Matthew Koma, following the growing success of his single “Apollo.”

Following his growing musical career, his documentary, “I Am Hardwell,” was released in January 2014. It tells the story of his career and most successful moments.

His message in the documentary has always been his motto in life, “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.”

Teaming Up With Chris Jones

Meanwhile, Hardwell collaborated with Tiësto on a back-to-back set at Tomorrowland, which got more than 6 million views on YouTube.

At the same time, he released a new song from his studio album, “Young Again,” which featured Chris Jones on vocals.

Following the release of “I Am Hardwell – United We Are” world tour, he joined forces with Armin Van Buuren at the “Ultra Music Festival” in 2015.

During this time, he launched the smash hit “Sally” featuring Harrison Shaw, his first song to enter the German Single Charts.

Soon after, he was performing again at numerous festivals like Tomorrowland in Brazil and organized “The Biggest Guestlist” concert in Mumbai.

A year later, he collaborated with Maan de Steenwinkel on “Perfect World,” released as part of the casting show, “The Voice of Holland”

He presented “Hollywood” with Afrojack, which jumped directly to number one on the Beatport charts and also released his Kura collaboration, which reached first place again.

Switching It Up

Hardwell then switched up his musical focus and introduced Hardstyle into the mix, creating “Don’t Let Me Down” by “The Chain Smokers”

He had his final performance on the “I Am Hardwell – United We Are” tour in August following the release of” Thinking About You” featuring Jay Sean.

Hardwell fell to third place in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, being overtaken by Martin Garrix when he ranked as the youngest Number One.

Later that year, he released” Break the House Down” with Kill the Buzz and “Party Till the Daylight” as a free birthday gift.

He then revealed his 300th episode of “Hardwell-on-Air,” an explosive episode with special guests Don Diablo, Jay Hardway, and Suyano.

Most recently, he released the songs “Oldskool Sound” and “Energy,” which are his first collaborations with the duo “Bassjackers.”

Favorite Quotes from Afrojack

“I think the most important thing about dance music is the connection. If you put 80,000 people together, no one knows each other, and once the music starts, everyone loves each other. That doesn’t happen with a lot of genres. If you go to a hip-hop club, it’s not like when one song comes on that everyone suddenly loves each other.” – Afrojack

“My debut album, ‘Forget the World,’ is all about not listening to the negativity around you and to continue to do what you love, no matter what people think. I love what I do. Dance music is my passion, my life. There is no greater feeling than being one with my fans, partying to the music we love.” – Afrojack

“I was in school – I was a good learner; if I wanted to get something done, I could get it done. I was lazy, though. I was always, like, sort of an outcast. And when I got home, I was always doing music, but when I was doing music, no one was there to judge it, you know? It was just me in my bedroom. It gave me freedom and made me happy.” – Afrojack

“When I was a baby, my mom used to have a dance school, and she used to teach classes there. We didn’t have money for a babysitter, so she always brought me with her to the dancing school. Back then, I was already watching and listening to Michael Jackson for a long time.” – Afrojack

“One of the reasons why my album is called ‘Forget the World’ is because when you listen to the world, you make stupid mistakes.” – Afrojack

He recently released “Step Up” with Tom and James as a free download and collaborated with Brooks on “Jetlag.”

Favorite Quotes From Mike Williams’

“It was very hard for me to keep it a secret! I couldn’t tell anyone that Sweet & Sour was my track, and I received a lot of questions about it. Even when I did a seminar during Dancefair, people were asking if I was the artist behind the track and it was very hard to give the right answer in front of all those people.” – Mike Williams

“I’ve been producing and DJ’ing for a long time and of course it was amazing when Spinnin’ approached me. Before I created ‘Sweet & Sour’, I worked a lot in the studio to improve my skills.” – Mike Williams

“I started by creating a drop. I used to start my projects with the break and work towards the drop but the drop was always disappointing then. Now when I start with the drop it all gets much easier. ‘Sweet & Sour’ was a project I finished relatively quickly. I had an idea in my mind for the drop: an easy melody that would get stuck in your head combined with a cool bassline.” – Mike Williams

“Took me a couple of years to find out what my style was. I’m not intending to do everything in that style, it’s just the way I produce and mix my tracks that makes it sound like me. That’s what makes it unique I guess!” – Mike Williams

“It was amazing and I learned a lot from working with those legends. Every one of them gave me good advice and helped me further and further! Also, it’s an amazing feeling when they pull me onstage during their sets.” – Mike Williams

“I’m loving the scene at the moment, I don’t want to single anyone out, but I’m inundated with new music. It isn’t easy to keep up! Festival season presents itself with a dilemma, only having 60-minute sets – 90 if you’re lucky.” – Andy C

“Ah, I don’t know, it’s nuts. Do I keep count? No, but… Australia, New Zealand, America six times, all of the European festivals, Spain’s been fantastic, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Belgium – I mean it’s everywhere isn’t it?” – Andy C
