How the Denver Broncos Use Visme to Visualize Data, Execute Strategies & Wow Partners

The Denver Broncos is one of the premier organizations in the National Football League. Since 1960, the Denver Broncos have grown into a team that is followed by legions of fans throughout the Rocky Mountain region, the United States and the world.

Over 20 employees across three departments use Visme daily, including Matt’s. Matt Swiren has been the Manager of Partnership Marketing for the past six years. His role is to foster and grow relationships with partners. His team oversees account management to ensure their partner's needs are met. 

Why The Broncos Choose Visme 

Matt was first introduced to Visme around 2019. Someone on their marketing and graphics team wanted to share Visme with the department. They had discovered Visme in the marketplace while browsing for new tools to add to their online toolbox.

Lastly, an essential feature they saw in Visme was the ability to design and create a centralized workspace with branded templates for a variety of projects for the team to use. 

“We created a master library that is easy for each individual person to plug in place slides and and customize them to their needs to start their presentation as well as making it easy for them to create their deck based on whom they're pitching, ” Matt shared.

This allowed his team to save time that would have been otherwise spent creating multiple presentations a day through PowerPoint. Plus, projects or sections of it could be duplicated instantly by team members, drastically cutting their content creation time in half and enabling them to be more efficient.

Once they were fully onboarded to Visme, they were assigned a customer success manager who actively built on their current knowledge of Visme and showed them how to tap into the full potential of what they could do in Visme—enabling Matt and the team to elevate their design and content creation workflow for better results.

“We utilize Visme a lot. We’re using it from the beginning to even after the end of the season. We're creating presentations to show our plans for season planning and just recaps, and Visme provides a great way to do it.” Matt remarks.

To maintain a competitive edge, the Broncos team constantly evaluates the landscape of sports and marketing. Matt collaborates with the strategy and business intelligence department to host productive strategy or planning sessions. This allows them to find the best pathway to embody the company's strengths and the unique value proposition they can continually offer clients. 

These sessions are used to provide a basic outline of goals, expectations and action items. Once that is finalized, the team finds a template in their Visme workspace that matches their needs and begins adding copy, data visualization to highlight statistics, animation to drive key points across, and strong visual elements like photos, video and more. 

“We used to work on Powerpoint where we would mockups of a photo of an LED that goes around in our stadium with a partner logo. Now we could actually have the LED moving and coming to life on Visme. That was really cool. It really helped us bring those season recaps to life” Matt adds.

“Being able to view analytics on our presentations has given us a leg up in our conversations and against our competitions.  “Apart from customization, one of my favorite features is the image placeholder. It helps me to quickly drop in a logo or photo from a fan in place, and it’s presented at the right scale. This is something that saves me a lot of time. It’s also very important in our line of work because it allows us to show partners what items actually look like before it’s implemented so that we can build up excitement,” states Matt. 

Matt and the team also use Visme internally as well. They treat their department as they would any client or sponsor. “I think it's easy for us just to create a Visme Deck that we can then pop on the screen in our conference room and talk through and update live, very similar to what we do for our partners; it's just easier to visualize what we're talking through.”
