Is there a better way to represent time than with an analog dial with hands? Probably not, because we went to digital and mostly moved back. This was not necessarily because of fear or inertia, but because the dial clock is just the best possible way to do the job. Something has to be best, right? There has to come a point of rest where the goals are achieved and no further improvement is possible, or else we might as well not get on the treadmill to begin with.
