The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank. Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers. Proud winners of the ‘Best Place to Work' award at the Hampshire Business Awards 2023!

This role will join our Technology function as part of the Product and Change team, reporting to the Transformation Director. In this pivotal role, you will manage multiple business change and transformation projects, leveraging IT to optimise and grow Castle Trust Bank. You will work across all business lines, including Savings, Property, and Consumer Credit/Retail Finance, as well as central functions and shared services.

You will lead the definition, evolution, and ownership of the project delivery framework for the bank, engage with customers, and manage project budgets. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project team activities, including vendors, contractors, and internal colleagues, driving effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and suppliers, and negotiating with vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely, successful project delivery.

This role will offer you the opportunity to help shape the Bank's business strategy, with opportunities to work on diverse and impactful projects, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners. If you have the skill and tenacity to drive business change, IT technology procurement, and resource management, we want to hear from you!

This role will benefit a hybrid working arrangement, to be based between our Basingstoke office (3 days) and working the rest of the week from home.

Let's talk flexibility...

We fully appreciate the importance of work/life balance, and that everyone has a set of unique circumstances. Whilst this role is advertised as full time, if you are looking for a different working arrangement (such as part time, alternative working hours), please continue to apply and we will discuss this with you during the application process.

What We Are Looking For In You...

What is important to us is that you have demonstrable experience working as an IT Project Manager leading and managing large projects and transformation programmes. If you have operated in a regulated financial services setting then this would be advantageous, but not essential. You will have delivered multiple projects previously on time and in budget which have achieved their business case stated outcomes. You will have strong execution skills with the ability to navigate through complex solutions with an eye for detail.

We are looking for an adept Project Manager with the technical capability combined with the right personality and behaviours to be successful in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, with the ability to effectively communicate, influence and empathise at all levels within the business, including technical and non-technical audiences.

What is equally important is that you have the ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects within required project timeframes, often managing internal and external stakeholders with conflicting interests and priorities. You will have a passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change. You will be an effective team player with big picture thinking abilities to solve problems.

What's In It For You...

As well as a competitive salary, we offer an annual performance related bonus based on individual and company performance. In addition, a generous contributory pension scheme through Hargreaves Lansdown, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top) with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days (terms apply). In addition, you will receive an extra day paid annual leave for Volunteering.

Wellbeing is also high on our agenda, and we offer healthcare benefits through Equipsme. In addition, all colleagues have free access to TELUS Health EAP to support their health and wellbeing. We also offer free eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership, and if that's not enough, we also offer season ticket travel loans (if applicable).
