We are looking to recruit an Operations Analyst to join us within Mercer Marsh Benefits in one of the following locations: Chichester, Bristol, Birmingham, London, or Glasgow.

Please note that if successful this will be a hybrid-based role, with 2 days working from home and 3 in the office.

Operations Analyst (Employee Benefits)

What can you expect?

This is a key, non-client facing role within the team, and we are not necessarily looking for someone with prior industry experience. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be a strong communicator as you’ll be working with multiple internal teams. Additionally, you’ll need to have strong excel working proficiency, as well as having good attention to detail and technical skills.

We will count on you to:

  • Provide support with system and operational issues by: Dealing with errors, queries and general data maintenance via the Helpdesk
  • Develop and deliver accurate management information (MI) as requested by the business.
  • Deliver regular reporting to Consulting Delivery Leadership and wider MMB Leadership
  • Build and maintain reports to deliver financial information, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Assist in the creation of operational standards/ procedures and user training documentation
  • Test updates to the CRMS system
  • Assist Operations Manager in the generation of communications to business on system and process related issues
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the generation and maintenance of Target Operating Model processes
  • Produce mail shots for the business as and when required
  • Maintain CRMS template documents and reports and consider how CRMS can drive efficiencies within documents
  • Provide CRMS training and support to both users and superusers
  • Develop and manipulate straightforward reports from CRMS data to users and managers as and when required.
  • Provide support on Consulting Delivery projects
  • Develop improvements to process and systems to drive efficiencies

What you need to have:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel with knowledge of Power Query
  • Familiarity with database management systems
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to establish a good rapport with users
  • Good planning and organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise own workloads
  • Good analytical skills

What makes you stand out?

  • Prior experience of working within an IT Helpdesk environment
  • Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel
  • Experience working with databases, particularly SQL
