New Business Administrator

We are recruiting a New Business Administrator to join our Private Wealth Team. This part of the business is responsible for advising clients on all aspects of their wealth, including investment, retirement planning and tax planning.

The successful applicant can either be a remote worker or be based out of one of our offices in: Leeds, Bristol, London, or Exeter.

What can you expect?

  • Process New Business for your allocated consultants, or others where needed, to an extremely high standard.
  • Provide quality administration support to clients with regard to the transactional elements of their portfolio in line with the Mercer code of professional conduct, The Greater Good.
  • Assist in the retention and development of existing clients and provide support to the team.

We will count on you to:

  • Submit New Business across a wide range of providers and platforms, with various product types such as pensions, investments, IHT planning etc.
  • Liaise with insurers/ providers to ensure delivery of information/implementation of our recommendations in appropriate timescales.
  • Monitor insurers/ providers performance on behalf of clients and challenge insurer/ provider at higher level to resolve any issues.
  • Accurately complete and maintain the client database.
  • Provide a service compliant with Mercer procedures and Code of Professional Conduct

What you need to have:

  • Strong administration experience ideally within a Financial Services environment as well as:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent IT experience in order to work with the necessary IT systems in place
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Proven ability to prioritise own workloads
