Forklift Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Bath / Chippenham / Trowbridge area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing Jungheinrich forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites. This is a field-based role requiring a high level of technical expertise and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of Jungheinrich forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs to ensure minimal downtime for customers.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
• Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and advancements in the industry.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift service engineer or in a similar mechanical/electrical role.
• Strong technical knowledge of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving license.
• Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
