Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote (home-based), with travel to UK customer sites, Reading head office, and international locations as needed.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting advanced medical electronic products. Your duties will involve maintaining service schedules, ensuring the calibration of test equipment, completing service documentation, and providing technical support to our customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and support medical electronic products.
- Maintain and reference the service calendar.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Promptly complete service paperwork and manage expenses.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
- Stay current with technical data, manufacturer updates, and software releases.
- Manage local service spares and appropriately handle faulty spares.
- Collaborate with device manufacturers’ technical support to resolve issues and provide feedback.
- Perform other duties as required by the service department.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 3 to 4 years of engineering and installation experience, ideally within a medical product support environment (preferred but not essential).
- Proficient in computer use and familiar with technical data.
- Strong ability to stay updated with relevant technology.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and skilled in planning and organizing.
- Outstanding communication skills, self-motivated, and reliable.
