Role Purpose


Due to phenomenal growth and high demand, we have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced 'Events Logistics Manager’ to join our successful global logistics teams based in Hatfield. This is a perfect role for an ambitious individual, who can be driven by results, who wants to make a positive contribution and develop their own skills and further their career.


Reporting to the Head of Global Logistics, this role will see you oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics of exhibition projects, ensuring seamless delivery and execution. This role involves coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all logistical aspects, such as transportation, setup, dismantling, and storage, are efficiently handled. The primary purpose is to provide exceptional logistical solutions that meet clients' needs, enhance their exhibition experience, and contribute to the overall success and profitability of the company. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills and extensive experience in logistics management within the exhibition or events industry.


Principal Responsibilities


The role will be primarily operational with a mixture of office, and event site work. This is a varied role covering different aspects of the event business. Liaising with both event organisers, internal departments, and exhibitors.


  • Project management from organisers appointment, handling the full process from conception through to delivery to stands at a venue and return
  • Following up sales leads, issuing quotes, receiving bookings, opening files,
  • Preparing event tariffs and shipping instructions
  • This is a hands-on client facing role which requires a logical and proactive approach at all times.
  • Working with logistics and exhibition partners around the world, and with carriers obtaining rate schedules, shipping dates for exhibitions.
  • Preparing customs documentation and issuing broker / agent instructions
  • Ensuring exhibition material is shipped as scheduled.
  • Point of contact for internal Operations, acting as a liaison between Events and Ops teams.
  • Working with internal departments, commercial and sales to target future clients, prospects
  • Attend exhibition setup / breakdown as required
  • Assisting with event administration, data entry, receiving new orders, providing event information to customers.
  • Taking responsibility for dealing with customer enquiries via phone or email.
  • Ensuring that all customer bookings/orders are processed efficiently.
  • Focus to be given on continuous improvement
  • Work efficiently to maximise profit margins


Key Skills/Qualification


  • Candidate will have minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Good knowledge of import / export custom regulations and formalities
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Must be a good team player, also able to work on own initiative
  • Computer skills’ including Excel / Word / Outlook - Intermediate level is a minimum
  • Driving licence - Clean


The working hours can vary depending on the business requirements specific to an event. Early starts, late finishes and occasional weekend working is all part of working on events. International travel may be required.
