Do you have an interest in renewable energy systems and enjoy providing great levels of service to the customers you visit? Due to our increased rate of installs, we’re looking for an Electrical Field Engineer to join our growing Field Services Team in empowering energy freedom for all!

About Us:

GivEnergy is a globally established, leading energy storage manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money!

GivEnergy Europe was formed at the end of 2022, GivEnergy Australia was created in the summer of 2023, and we’ve just launched in South Africa this year with exciting further plans for global expansion in the works!

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Field Services Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the testing, maintenance and repair of our domestic and commercial energy storage systems. Providing minimal downtime and an excellent level of customer service for installers and end users.

This will be a really varied role, from supporting new or existing end users in the understanding of their system through to diagnosing potential operational issues with the installation or equipment. This field-based role will require travel and it may be necessary to stay away occasionally to prevent excess travel times.

Day to day requirements of the role may include:

  • Self-management of vehicle and ‘van stock’ to ensure the parts required are in stock on the vehicle to prevent return visits.
  • Working along side the workshop to ensure equipment is signed in and out correctly.
  • Identification and resolution of potential issues with equipment both on and off site including completing a pre-defined site visit sheet to keep track of installation errors or product issue.
  • Liaison between the different departments within the business to develop new and current products.
  • On-site training to new and existing installers or distributors.

Full product specific training will be given to the successful candidate, so you will be required to spend a minimum of 1 week completing office-based training in our Staffordshire Head Office (expenses paid).

What We're Looking For:

If it's a yes to all or most of the below, we want to hear from you!

  • Full UK (or equivalent) driving license (essential)
  • Electrical competence, or an electrical background (preferred)
  • Good level of domestic/commercial electrician experience (preferred)
  • Self Isolation Qualification (preferred)
  • Happy to travel, with potential for overnight stays to reduce travel time.
  • IT skills, as both off and on site will require the use of a PC/Laptop.
  • Happy to work collaboratively or independently.
  • Experience or a passion for the Renewable Energy industry would benefit you in this role.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Efficient planning and organisation capability.
  • Interest in problem solving and issue identification.
  • An active learner with a thirst for knowledge.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Positive and Helpful attitude.
