UNITE2030 is a global initiative run by The IDHouse to empower and unite global young world changers to solve some of the most pressing issues that face our planet and society related to the UN's sustainability goals. Over 48 hours, teams from around the world participated in an online hackathon to find solutions to one of four UN Sustainability Development Goals(SDG).

In a team of four from the USA/UK, India, Kenya, and Brazil/Italy, we developed a business plan for the mobile application "Treeway" that connects to the user's debit card to donate micro-donations to existing afforestation and rewilding projects from around the world to create macro-planetary impact to address the deforestion SDG. In addition to our business plan, we developed a brand sheet and I presented a pitch to a panel of global sustainability leaders.

One judge commented "Treeway, incorporated the principles that we talked about throughout the entire UNITE 2030 event - innovation but simplicity, easy to understand, and accessibility. You identified a clear pain point and developed a strong solution for that pain point."
