    Galderma China had just launched first product in a decade with 3 more planned for the near future and yet was struggling to find position in market. As Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific, oversaw situational analysis and revised strategic marketing plan. Spearheaded development of new projects to address market needs; structured new product launch task forces to secure company-wide integration; and optimised processes to ensure deadlines could be hit. Succeeded in reversing downward trend, meeting portfolio growth plans and significantly surpassing forecast sales for new launches.

  • GC Aesthetics Product Launch in South Korea

    GC Aesthetics was entering the South Korean market with its medical devices. As VP of Marketing, participated in negotiations with the local distributor on volumes and product mix of initial order. At some point in the meeting, noticed the mood in the room had changed and the distributor suddenly became reluctant to go ahead with the order.     GC Aesthetics was entering the South Korean market with its medical devices. As VP of Marketing, participated in negotiations with the local distributor on volumes and product mix of initial order. At some point in the meeting, noticed the mood in the room had changed and the distributor suddenly became reluctant to go ahead with the order. Used cross-cultural skills to uncover the underlying issues and what could be done to overcome it and get the order. Created an Exclusive VIP Club for selected accounts in order to overcome warehouse system issues, generating additional buzz at launch. Secured desired initial order and paved way for a successful launch.

    GC Aesthetics wanted to move into more premium markets. As Vice President of Marketing, analysed company portfolio. Built compelling story / value proposition; repositioned product for global market;
    developed external / internal marketing strategies; integrated all communication aspects; and adapted compensation structure across affiliates to ensure commercial team changed behaviour. Succeeded in securing sales growth which propelled company to leadership position in several markets, increasing sales of premium products by 70% in under 2 years and growing overall by 20% and improving staff morale.

As Marketing Manager for LatAm, worked with key markets within region, including both direct and distributor countries, to perform deep diagnosis in order to understand how brands were perceived and what customers wanted and were willing to pay for. Developed positioning for new line, including product attributes, key messages and competitive defence across all marketing channels and to key stakeholders. Succeeded in completely switching around sales composition across portfolio within 2 years whereby premium line accounted for 90% of sales.
