    To celebrate my birthday in lockdown, I raised money and awareness for AKT, a charity that is dedicated to combat LGBTQ+ Homelessness in the UK. The LGBTQ+ community members are more likely to become homeless due to different reason such as family disapproval for who they are, discrimination at work, domestic abuse, rape, hate crimes. AKT is helping these people by offering them a roof over their heads, money to support their needs, helps them with job applications, etc.

    Instead of saying "Happy Birthday" or buying me a gift or a card, I urged my family, friends and acquaintances to donate to my cause. For this particular fundraiser I raised over £200 which was donated to AKT to help them continue their incredible work for the community
