Love this from TheTypeWriterDaily on Instagram. It reminds us of this advice from Laura, 21: “Each morning, I mentally check in with myself to assess my mindset for the day ahead. This habit enables me to recognise my feelings, which helps me to better manage my emotions throughout the day. Also, I like to write my feelings down each morning to ensure that I continue my day with a clear and decluttered mindset.”

    • The more you feel your feelings, the easier it is to understand them.

Our education system needs to change. Instead of piling academic pressure on young people, it should prioritise mental health, encourage creativity and properly prepare them for the next stage of their life. These are the urgent changes we’re asking the Government to make.

A statement from our Activist Samara: "As a young person, I approach the dawn of the new government with optimism and hope. We are genuinely excited about the potential for positive change and eagerly anticipate the realisation of campaign promises. Our commitment remains unwavering: we stand ready to hold the government accountable and ensure that the voices and needs of young people are not just heard but actively prioritised. Young people are the future of this country so it's integral their needs are accommodated as we strive to write a better future for us all, up and down the country."

You’ve got a huge task ahead of you. Mental health services are at breaking point and more young people than ever before need support. You promised early mental health support hubs in every community and reducing waiting times. A step in the right direction. And we will hold you accountable. But young people need so much more. Be bold and be brave. We need you to reimagine the mental health system and tackle the things that make young people’s mental health worse. Your campaign slogan was ‘change’. We need big change now more than ever. We look forward to working with you.

These photos bring us so much joy. Throughout June Marks and Spencer colleagues, in 360 stores and their support centres, took part in their *biggest ever* fun-raiser. They hosted quizzes, bake sales and completed long distance cycling and four Capital city marathon walks… All to support our mission to create a better world for young people. We’re so excited to announce that they raised £265k (and counting!) To everyone who took part: We can’t express how grateful we are. Thank you for standing with us and with young people. Together, we’ve got this.

    • M&S employees standing outside a Liverpool store. There is a big group of them and they are wearing sportswear - some of them have yellow YoungMinds t shirts on. A big Percy Pig mascot is standing in the middle, wearing a yellow t shirt.
    • A group of M&S employees standing in front of their store. They are wearing yellow. Some have yellow accessories like wigs and a hula hoop.
    • M&S colleagues standing in the store, by the clothing section. There is yellow bunting above them. They are all wearing yellow fundraising t shirts and two of them are holding donation buckets. They are smiling and have their arms in the air.
