The Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD) community embodies the very essence of “why” I chose and remain committed to my professional path. At Vitaflo we're privileged to contribute to the transformation of lives affected by this ultra rare condition every day. This weekend, we gathered at the AGSD conference with clinicians, researchers, people with GSD and their families, and advocates. Together, we shared knowledge and progress made, discussed challenges, and explored possibilities to further improve and change lives. To keep things practical and fun Chef Neil taught us how to cook healthy low carb and delicious meals with everyday ingredients that the whole family can enjoy. Horst Bickel and Robert Guthrie played instrumental roles in advancing the understanding and management of PKU. Their ground-breaking work in the field of newborn screening and the development of dietary approaches has had a profound impact on the lives of individuals with PKU and their families. Today we pay tribute to the dedication, resilience, and achievements of individuals living with PKU, as well as the researchers and healthcare professionals who continue to contribute to advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and support.
