This project involved installing press connection technology across 11 floors of an old Victorian, office building. The contractor had never used Megapress before but after the recommendation from their sister company for it's quick installation, reliability and cost-saving benefits, it was given the go ahead. The £85m development project involved the installation of 7,000 Megapress connections, between 500-600 joints per floor, over 117,000 square foot of office space. They lift it up: the European Vootball Cup, which weighs eight times more than the heaviest of the Press United player. But the Press United team also masters this challenge easily. After a nervewracking game and a 2-0 deficit, coach Larry Linkage’s team won the trophy in the penalty shootout. Amazing!  On the other side, we have the players from Inter Fitting. Their shiny stainless steel jerseys don’t match their mood at all. Let’s cheer them up! They can be proud of their performance, even if they can’t buy anything from it.  Speaking of buying: Inge’s Würstchenbude has just received a delivery of fresh bratwurst. The spectators in the Viega Vootball Dome are delighted. They’re just as excited about the spectacle that has taken place on the pitch. They’re cheering their heroes on.  What’s left? Four intense weeks of Vootball that we’ll be talking about for years – maybe even decades. As we say goodbye, we’re smiling and crying at the same time. Thanks for being here. Shootout in the Viega Vootball Dome. The tension is almost unbearable. The players on the pitch are unaffected. They have nerves of steel and copper. Just as impressive: Although they have been working non-stop for 90 minutes, not a drop of sweat is visible. Now it’s time to get down to business. Both teams take their first penalty safely, but then show their nerves at the second attempt. First Inter keeper Sepp C. Conturio saves, then his opposite number Magic Manuel does the same. What a thriller! Press United’s Peter Pinpoint is next and does better, as usual. Now the pressure is on Gareth Gasket. The Inter Fitting defender with English roots must score. Otherwise, it will be over. He runs on. And then: OOOOH! He shoots miles over the goal, hitting the stands. Press United have done it. They are the first European Vootball Champion in history.
