What is new in the European Innovation Scoreboard 2024? Many things, including: ➡️ A new automated data pipeline to collect data, calculate indicators and perform quality checks ➡️ Automated reports for each country and indicator which allowed the team (and the European Commission) to rapidly identify key drivers of change over time and compared with the EIS 2023 ➡️ A beautiful new interactive dashboard which allows users to explore the data and country profiles in greater detail This is the next step in the ongoing process of modernising the European Innovation Scoreboard, building on the excellence of the past 20 years. 🎙️🎉 Challenges of transformative innovation and research policy were the topic of the panel discussion on the occasion of our 15th anniversary as Technopolis Germany!   We are excited to share that more than 50 clients and partners, colleagues and Technopolis alumni accepted our invitation!   The panel, which included Erik Arnold (Technopolis Group), Patries Boekholt (Innovation Policy Matters), Engelbert Beyer (BMBF) and Brigitte Knopf (Zukunft KlimaSozial), discussed challenges for transformative policies in reacting to climate change, digitalisation and the changing political landscape. Three perspectives became clear in the discussion:   1️⃣ Transformation can only succeed if citizens are involved in a participatory manner.  2️⃣ It is necessary to share the costs of transformation across all parts of the society in a socially just manner.  3️⃣ Successful steps have already been taken in transformation policy in Europe and nationally.    👉It was also noted that the coordination of policies in Germany could be improved, particularly between the various stakeholders at federal level. Overall, however, the panellists see good opportunities for the transformation to succeed in Germany and Europe.   We would like to thank the panellists and all our guests for the lively discussion and enriching exchange.   See you next time!   ____________________________________________________   🎙️🎉 Herausforderungen der transformativen Innovations- und Forschungspolitik waren das Thema der Paneldiskussion anlässlich unseres 15-jährigen Jubiläums als Technopolis Deutschland!   Wir freuen uns, dass wir mehr als 50 Kund*innen, Partner, Kolleg*innen und Technopolis Alumni begrüßen durften!   Das mit Erik Arnold (Technopolis Group), Patries Boekholt (Innovation Policy Matters), Engelbert Beyer (BMBF) und Brigitte Knopf (Zukunft KlimaSozial) kompetent besetzte Panel diskutierte Herausforderungen an eine transformative Politik, die sich aus dem Klimawandel, der Digitalisierung und der veränderten politischen Landschaft ergeben. Deutlich wurden in der Diskussion drei Perspektiven:   1️⃣ Transformation kann nur gelingen, wenn die Bürger*innen partizipativ eingebunden werden.  2️⃣ Es ist notwendig die Kosten der Transformation auf alle Bevölkerungsschichten sozialgerecht zu verteilen.  3️⃣ In der Transformationspolitik sind bereits erfolgreiche Schritte in Europa und national eingeleitet werden.    👉Gleichzeitig wurde aber auch festgehalten, dass in Deutschland die Koordination und die Verzahnung der Aktivitäten insbesondere zwischen den unterschiedlichen Ressorts auf der Bundesebene verbesserbar ist. Insgesamt aber sehen die Paneldiskutierenden gute. Contribute to the indicator co-design process for the Research Excellence Framework 2029—participate in our survey! Research England has commissioned a project to develop indicators to be used for the assessment of the People, Culture and Environment (PCE) element of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029. This project is being carried out by Technopolis Group and CRAC-Vitae in collaboration with several sector organisations. 💡Explore the potential of blockchain technology and digital solutions to support the implementation of European Union (EU) climate policies by the European Commission!🇪🇺 Technopolis Group’s main objective was to identify EU climate policies that can benefit from distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and digital tools. The study comprised three tasks: ➡️Climate policy mapping and scoping, collecting data to understand EU climate policies, analysing existing use cases, and assessing how DLT can enhance these policies.  ➡️Examine selected policy options, evaluating the prerequisites for integrating DLT and discussing potential outcomes.  ➡️Issue recommendations on DLT and Digital Technologies implementation strategies for climate policy actions, including estimates of implementation cost and time ranges.
