While the EU Parliamentary elections take place, we continue to see the rise of hatred and the politics of fear around the world. During the biggest electoral year in history, it has never been more timely to consider our relationship with freedom of speech. To shine a light on this, rising star director Giordano Maestrelli, created 'The First Speech' in collaboration with INNOCEAN, Stink Berlin, and Reporters Without Borders (RSF). Pleased to see the continued traction of the campaign, now highlighted in shots as a Cannes Lions contender. Watch it below. https://lnkd.in/dtF2eQWX

Today, on International Women’s Day, we’re releasing Geej Ower’s award-winning short ‘Five Weeks’, a poignant portrayal of the challenges faced by new mothers. Using long takes, close angles and immersive sound, we see the usually mundane task of grocery shopping transformed into a scene from a horror movie of the protagonist’s own making. Made with a predominantly female crew and co-produced by Stink Films and MrMr, see the film’s online premiere exclusively on Short of the Week: https://lnkd.in/df2eTnDM

We are excited to announce the new leadership team at Stink Films US. Firstly, seasoned industry player, benjamin davies, has joined as Managing Director. Ben’s experience leading teams at major agencies such as BBH and Droga5, coupled with his ability to cross production, brand and marketing, as well as his empathy and multi-disciplinary skills will provide Stink with a partner that talent, clients and peers alike can turn to. Further, long-term Stinkers Mungo Maclagan and Fran McGivern are taking on new roles, with Mungo's promotion to Deputy Managing Director, and Fran McGivern's to Global Director of Production Operations. Stink Founder and President, Daniel Bergmann, said “I have known Ben for a long time. He is a progressive thinker, creative and meticulous, while also having great taste and a strategic vision. He is a perfect match for the Stink US office in a time of growth. I am also very happy for Mungo and Fran, both very deserving and invaluable to Stink's success."
