🌟 Support Needed, Please Read 🌟 "Mental health, loss and grief are one of the biggest challenges faced by people from all walks of life, especially for our military community. My plan is to run 3 individual big events in 2024, raising money for The Fallen Soldiers fund and Rugby for Heroes." 💙 Griff is a long standing friend, supporter and inspiration and has shown his incredible support year on year through his fundraising efforts and gruelling physically and mentally challenging feats. Griff will be taking on his BIG 3 Challenge in support of us and The Fallen Soldiers Fund including: 🏔️ Challenge 1: A journey from the tip of North Wales to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff over three gruelling days, covering 237 miles by bike, scaling iconic peaks like Snowden and Pen y Fan, and sleeping rough along the way. 🏔️ Challenge 2: Throughout 2024, he will summit all 159 Marilyns in Wales, dedicating his spare time and holiday allowance to this monumental task. 🏔️ Challenge 3: In October 2024, Griff will venture to Nepal's Khumbu region, where he plans to summit three towering mountains over 6000m in just 27 days, relying solely on his own determination and backpacks. To support Griff’s efforts, we’re seeking sponsors from our corporate networks and friends. Your contribution will not only help cover logistical costs but also boost our fundraising efforts, enabling Griff to make a significant impact. Sponsorship benefits include branding on social media, TV posts, team equipment, and clothing, as well as prominent logo display at finishing lines and a commemorative bottle. If you or your business can contribute, remember that sponsorship is tax-deductible and goes a long way in showing gratitude for the sacrifices of the UK Armed Forces. Even sharing this post with potential supporters would mean the world to us.💙 Let's come together to support Griff and honour our heroes in uniform. And if you’d like to donate personally, Griff’s JustGiving page is now live! https://lnkd.in/edgE9Cnd Thank you for your generosity and support. #RugbyForHeroes #Big3Challenge #SupportOurTroops 🏉🇬🇧

I help brands thrive on social media with a touch of creativity to connect with their customers to stay top of mind. 🚀 Social Media Strategist, Trainer & Consultant ✨ Instagram & LinkedIn Expert 👩🏻💻

I went in for me. I came out for my husband… You might be thinking, ‘what is she on about?!’ Let me explain: Today’s Radio Bath business breakfast was meant to help me get leads for my business, but instead, I found myself feeling quite emotional with teary eyes as I listened to Thinus Delport talk about Rugby for Heroes - a charity that supports military personnel transitioning to civilian life. This hit close to home. My husband served in the British Armed Forces for 12 years and has recently left without gaining employment. It’s been such a worrying time, not just financially, but wondering how he will cope without the routine he has been used to, without the comradery, without the military banter, and now making decisions for himself without following orders. I had the opportunity to sit and chat with Alan Lamb the charity’s founder - about our situation and how they can help. It meant a lot to hear from someone outside of the community who recognises and understands the struggles military personnel and their families go through. I felt huge gratitude for him taking the time to talk to me long after the event ended. I cannot emphasise enough how vital a lifeline this charity is and will be to many other service leavers and veterans. They help with CV writing, mental health and employment through tailored courses, meet-ups and supportive WhatsApp groups without you needing to meet a criteria to access support. There aren’t many organisations that offer this level of support with such ease. Thank you so much for your kind words and help. I wanted to share this to help spread the word about Rugby for Heroes and the fantastic work they are doing. And another thank you to Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst MBE and Nikki Heal for the invite, and Tessa Welbourn for listening and offering positive words for a better and brighter future ahead. 💙
