We had a great time working with The Outsiders Perspective hosting the launch of #TOPCommunity, the first industry-wide alliance for people of colour working in UK fashion and luxury businesses – creating a structured forum to progress action around the lack of representation. #TheOutsidersPerspective, supported by Fashion Business School at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London are convening nominated employees from TOP brands including alexandermcqueen, ASOS.com, CHANEL, dunhill, lululemon, Mulberry England and Tiffany & Co. The Outsiders Perspective is a not-for-profit incubation platform for People of Colour, committed to increasing representation in Operational, Commercial and Marketing roles in the fashion and luxury industries. Throughout the entirety of this year’s Pride Month, we focused on celebrating diversity and inclusivity as we continue to commit to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. At the forefront of Rosewood London's initiatives, we have been working with The Diversity Trust to better understand and support. As part of the hotel's commitment to education and awareness, we hosted an inspiring trans and pronouns training session delivered by Joni Clark and hosted another informative training session centred around the pride, LGBTQ+ experience and how to become an even more inclusive workplace delivered by Paula Zelaya. This session further solidified our dedication to fostering an inclusive environment for all. The grand finale of the month-long celebration was a joyous pride picnic in Hyde Park, providing a fitting conclusion to the hotel's spirited observance of London Pride 2024. Rosewood Empowers encapsulates our belief in equal access to opportunity by empowering all our communities. Through our local partnerships we seek invest in the professional and personal growth of those we partner with. Last week, we had the pleasure of taking part in an incredible mentoring programme in collaboration with the University of East London. We kicked off the journey with an introduction session in the hotel which was the perfect opportunity for our mentors and mentees to come together, forge connections, and establish goals and expectations. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our mentors Emmanuele Selvaggi Giulia Bove Konstantinos Barlikas for generously dedicating their time to share their invaluable knowledge and experiences with our mentees. Their guidance and support will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the career paths and personal growth of our mentees.
