    “I wanted to challenge myself and put my sales skills to the test. I’ll bring a unique perspective as a seller, coming in with a CS background.” The journey from CS to AE 💭 Julie Mosley started her journey into Customer Success in 2020 at Qualia and in 2022 joined the team at Outreach, where her customers are now Sales Leaders. Working in various sides of CS over her career from implementation, to driving adoption, Julie owes a lot of her success to her academic knowledge. Working in various sides of CS over her career from implementation, to driving adoption, Julie owes a lot of her success to her academic knowledge. “When I think about CS, industry knowledge is paramount. Not only do you need to know CS fundamentally but being able to speak the language of your customers is priceless.” She says the experience & exposure she’s had at Outreach has felt “like doing a course in Sales” naturally leading her to move into the AE role. Excited to put her CS and Sales knowledge to the test and bring a new perspective to the role. Her secret to being a top performer? 🔥 “Build trust with both customers and internal counterparts, which can start with something as simple as being consistent in your words and your actions. Really looking at that impact Vs effort axis and managing your time carefully and strategically 👉 Analysing engagement vs propensity to buy & calculating the white space of those looking to buy again 🔥 Shifting the CS mindset to be more commercial; reminding yourself you're not selling, you're solving problems.
