  • Yesterday our very own Olga Frańczak, PhD, Programme Lead Equality Diversity and Inclusion took part in a fantastic event of business leaders from the Solihull area, expertly organised by our REC member Susie Ankrett! The day kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Carmen Watson, setting the perfect tone for the event. Olga had the honour of being one of the headline speakers, where she presented on unlocking the power of inclusion to address modern business challenges. Additionally, she hosted a breakout session on implementing a step-by-step inclusive recruitment process. Olga’s key takeaways included: 1️⃣EDI Integration: EDI shouldn't be siloed into just one area of your business. It's about people, and they touch every aspect of your operations—from customer service to product development. An effective EDI strategy should be mainstreamed across all parts of your organisation. 2️⃣Addressing Modern Challenges: EDI is a critical response to the challenges modern businesses face. It's a pathway to improving performance, impact, and brand. 3️⃣Lifelong Learning: Like AI, EDI is a dynamic field. Maintaining a learning mindset is crucial to staying ahead of new developments and trends. 4️⃣Inclusive Recruitment: This process starts much earlier than anticipated. Before bringing in diverse talent, ensure your organisation is ready to welcome them by implementing EDI solutions and fostering a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for your existing staff. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event such a success! To find out more about our work on EDI click the link in the comments below. 👇 #BusinessLeaders #Inclusion #EDI #InclusiveRecruitment
