Today was launch day for LUMotorsport LFS24, Loughborough University's Formula Student Team's Single seater race car. Photocentric was pleased to help out with some prints, including some with our DL401 mould resin - used for the carbon fibre lay ups. We wish the team of 2024 luck in the IMechE Formula Student Competition at Silverstone between17-21st July!

Manufacturer of photopolymer resins, 3D printers and production parts with track-record for research & investment.
About us
Photocentric has been manufacturing photopolymer resin since 2002 and are the undisputed world-leaders in visible light polymerisation. For nearly two decades, Photocentric has prioritised innovation at the centre of our corporate culture, creating new products for the printing industry. Our patented technology has enabled us to become the leading and most trusted company in making crystal clear craft stamps, both in the UK and the USA. In 2014 we started our journey into 3D printing with the use of LCD screens as the selective light source to harden visible light photopolymer. This has proven to be our company’s greatest innovation and commercial success so far. This technology is starting to change wider volume manufacturing not just additive manufacturing. Today, we are delivering on our early ambition of using screens to enable custom mass manufacture. This vision has become a reality through the application of a large number of our largest format and technically most advanced printer, the Liquid Crystal Magna. This has proven its disruptive ability by delivering order of magnitude improvements for the customer in terms of cost, productivity and reliability. Our chemical development partnership with BASF is delivering on the promise of producing usable functional parts. We are applying this disruptive technology to a wide variety of industries commencing with automotive, dental and industrial components.

At RAPID + TCT in LA last week, our LC Titan printer attracted interest from the art/props world and the industrial world alike. If there is ever a show in NY, maybe we should make a life size King Kong? Check out the texture on his head! #largeformat3Dprinting #filmprops

Merit3D regularly post about parts they have produced in volume using Additive Manufacturing, often using #LCMagna and Photocentric resins. Now, recognising that companies are at different stages on their AM journey, Merit3D has created a new program called Protoduction 4.0. ➡ Path 1 "Do your own" Customers receive advice on materials and printers to do their own prototyping & design work, then use Merit3D when ready to mass produce. ➡ Path 2 "Let us Help" Customers upload their file and the Merit3D team help optimize it for mass production. ➡ Path 3 "Start from Scratch" enables companies to use Merit3D's in house skills to create the design, print prototypes and mass produce their products. Merit3D has also upgraded their online estimate tool to simplify the quoting process. Merit3D is committed to bringing manufacturing back to the USA through Additive Manufacturing. Photocentric is committed to affordable, scalable AM with functional materials. Together with other Merit3D partners, BASF Forward AM and Henkel, we look forward to continuing to help show the flexibility, agility and scalability of AM.
