Working together to make a meaningful difference in our community is the foundation the #MilewayActs programme is built on. Our colleagues in France have volunteered their time to support the “Premières Heures” initiative with Emmaüs Solidarité. By refurbishing and beautifying parks around Paris, the goal is to help people in situations of exclusion towards successful reintegration into their communities. Luxembourg. One of the richest countries in the world, yet 19% of its people face the risk of falling into poverty*. Together with Serve the City Luxembourg a.s.b.l., our colleagues spent the day preparing and handing out lunchboxes - paired with a hot cuppa. The aim? To brighten someone’s day. Covering over 400km from Luxembourg to Amsterdam in an epic 3 day adventure, 34 colleagues and partners from across our Europe and UK offices have successfully completed the first #Mileway Charity Cycle Challenge. With the generous donations of colleagues, partners and supporters, we've raised over €150,000 for Habitat for Humanity Great Britain to house vulnerable people in the UK and around the world. Last week, the Mileway Italy team spent a day volunteering with Agrivis, an agricultural social cooperative farmstead. This organisation, part of the broader Gruppo L'Impronta association, supports people with cognitive and physical disabilities, offering them meaningful work opportunities that promote inclusion, community, and independence. The team spent the day tilling, harvesting, and preparing produce to be sold locally to individuals and small restaurants in the area. It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to such impactful work and connect with people for whom work and economic independence are significant challenges. The event was part of our Mileway Acts programme, which gives teams time to support local community initiatives. Mileway agrees 10-year lease with Hellmut Springer on c.6,700 sqm property in Bremen. Located at Scipiostraße 3 in Bremen’s popular Habenhausen district, the facility benefits from excellent last-mile accessibility, with proximity to Bremen Airport, and convenient public transportation access. The property will be used as a storage and distribution facility in one of Germany’s most important business and logistics locations. Did you know that 11 million tons of plastic ends up in the sea every year?   Last week, a group of Mileway colleagues from the Netherlands worked together to remove 43 buckets of bottles, cigarette butts, ropes, and other trash from the beach at Zandvoort. This beach clean-up activity was part of our #MilewayActs programme, which connects Mileway employees with local community initiatives.   Congratulations to our star clean-up squad who brought fun, energy and enthusiasm to make a positive impact on our community and the health of the world's oceans.
