Reflections from the LPGP Connect London Conference About ✨AI: As the Founder of Hypercore, a cutting-edge loan management platform, attending the LPGP Connect London conference was an enlightening experience. Engaging with many lenders and C-level executives gave me invaluable insights and confirmed some of my thoughts on the future of our industry. Key Takeaways for Lenders and Commercial Non-Bank Lenders: 1. The AI Buzz: Everyone is talking about AI, yet few are actually implementing it. The potential of AI is massive, but its practical applications are still in the nascent stages among lenders. 2. Misplaced Expectations: Many expect AI to be a magical black box capable of solving all problems effortlessly. This often leads to disappointment when the results aren’t as accurate or transformative as hoped. 3. AI’s Real Potential:  I firmly believe the future of AI lies in enhancing the lender experience of existing workflows. There is a reason why the big enterprises call it a “co-pilot” or “assistant” – it's a tool that can revolutionize how we interact with loan management platforms. It can provide insights, streamline data entry, and boost overall efficiency, but it won’t replace the essential role of the loan officer.
