I am proud to share the KPP Mentoring Programme to a wider audience! We have been running this initiative now for 2 years, with a small batch of pairings and people within our network, who hold a passion for helping others to thrive (mentors) and for personal development (mentees). 👥 Until now we restricted participation to being by invitation only, and did not promote it openly as we could only manage the process in small numbers. Since then we've built our own mentoring platform, refined the process, and are now in a position to welcome more people to participate! Key Features: ✅ Your own login, and a place to store notes / set meetings with your partner ✅ A robust and personalised matching process (NOT done by AI!) ✅ Time commitment: 1 hour per month for 3 months. Insightful view on the FCA's recent hiring decision. What are your thoughts?
Disappointing for the FCA - particularly given their role and remit - to appoint a Chief Internal Auditor who has no audit qualifications or experience. It's also hard to understand how someone who has held the range of roles that he had at the FCA over the past 20 odd years could properly be seen as independent and objective. Given that, it's hard then not to come to the conclusion that the FCA don't value organisations having an effective internal audit function. The FCA is one of the bodies that should be setting the tone for the profession, and appointing a suitably qualified and experienced CIA who would challenge and scrutinise their operations would have been a good indicator of having a strong culture of good governance, continuous improvement and transparency. Do as I say, not as I do apparently. The quote about PSIAS not applying, but that they "agreed with them in principle" I find particularly concerning - surely the FCA should be holding themselves to the highest of standards and be able to articulate what those should be. I am pleased however to see this being called out and hope that, at the very least, our key institutions learn some lessons for the future. https://lnkd.in/eyQN4yub

Hiring Manager - 81% 🎉 A resounding majority (81%) of you expressed a strong preference for the first interview to be with the hiring manager. Clearly, face-to-face with the decision-maker is a top priority for candidates seeking their next career move. Talent Acquisition - 15% ✨ 15% of respondents favored an initial interaction with the talent acquisition team. Their role in guiding candidates through the process is acknowledged and valued.
