Corinthia’s audacious raid on Barings has inflamed the talent war in private credit, with fund managers hoping to avoid a similar exodus inside their own teams. Limited partners have been seeking assurances from major debt funds in recent weeks that they have safeguards in place to avoid a repeat of the high-profile poaching saga at Barings which rocked the media-shy world of private credit, according to several sources. Speaking of the competition for talent, Kadeem Houson of Kea Consultants said: "Compensation is one factor, but candidates are increasingly mindful of joining funds that have the financial firepower to transact at volume in this market, which has been a more significant consideration,"
