About us
Family-owned market leader KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1844 and specialises in sawing and storage technology. With a history of more than 170 years it is one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Europe. Armin Stolzer has been the head of the company for nearly 30 years. He is the fifth generation of his family leading the company and, only a few years ago, was joined by the sixth generation. Under his management, KASTO has grown to become the market leader for metal sawing machines, semi-automatic and fully automatic storage systems, as well as automated handling equipment for metal bar stock, sheet metals and parts cut to size. Every single day, new customized solutions “made in Germany” are developed at the headquarter in Achern and the second production site Schalkau. However, the global player KASTO is not only established in Germany: further service and sales locations can be found in France, USA, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK. The position as a global market leader – in technology and quantity – in metal sawing machines and automatic storage systems is based on approximately 160 patents and more than 140,000 sawing machines shipped and more than 1,700 automatic storage systems installed. Our sales partner Mekana was recently represented at ELMIA in Jönköping, where it presented the KASTOwin A 3.6 band saw. Visitors to the trade fair had the opportunity to experience the innovative sawing technology at first hand and see the benefits for themselves. The trade fair provided an excellent opportunity to get to know KASTO's advanced solutions in detail and to find out about the latest developments in sawing technology.
