Our I-8 satellites will launch in 2026 to provide crucial safety services and support advances in emergency tracking. The three satellites will provide additional network resilience and secure the future of our global safety services. SWISSto12 - one of Europe’s fastest-growing aerospace providers - will develop the new eighth-generation of spacecraft. Just 1.5 cubic metres in volume, the I-8’s will use SWISSto12’s innovative new class of spacecraft, which has a form factor up to five times smaller than conventional geostationary satellites - yet can still deliver powerful services with certainty. We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Business Culture Awards ‘Best Wellbeing Initiative’ category for our March in April challenge. Following our employee engagement survey in 2021, we found that colleagues were finding it hard to reconnect with one another after months of remote working. The March in April Challenge not only encouraged colleagues to reconnect but also focused on their health at the same time. The annual competition has gone from strength to strength, with the number of teams across our global offices doubling. We have also raised funds for charities to support Ukraine in 2022, and this year we raised funds for our partner charity Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF). We are now encouraging our new Viasat colleagues to sign up for the 2024 challenge! 🏃 🏃 🏃 Good luck to all the other finalists at the awards ceremony in November.
