#ICYMI: First Mode’s #PathToZero product line was featured in a recent “decarb change makers” edition of International Mining.   Krunal Desai, VP of Research & Development shared, “[T]he HEV adds regenerative braking capability and uses otherwise wasted rheostatic braking energy to reduce fuel usage and carbon emissions up up to 25%. It also requires no additional infrastructure and feeds forward into our zero-emissions fully-battery or next-gen fuel-cell EV powertrains. Importantly, the base technologies across our full product line can be applied to locomotives and power stations used across heavy industry.”   Read more 👇

For starters, these trucks – nearly three-stories tall – are a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions. And since each truck has a lifespan of up to 10-20 years, it is more sustainable, practical, and economical for mine operators to retrofit them than retire them early. Plus, our retrofit solutions can help increase truck efficiency.   But we aren’t stopping with mining.
