In the latest edition of Equiduct’s Retail Insights series, we explore the most actively traded sectors in May 2024, focusing on the net notional imbalances per sector. The bearish trend persists across most industries for another month with an overall net sell imbalance of €114 million. Financials had by far the biggest net sell imbalance of €144 million followed by Utilities with €35 million. Consumer Discretionary recorded the largest buy imbalance with a figure of €48 million. In the latest Equiduct retail notional imbalance report for May 2024, the overall trend was bearish. This was mainly down to the large sell imbalance of €147 million in Madrid. Here are the top 10 most traded stocks on Equiduct by retail investors in May 2024. Retail interest in BBVA stock continues to lead on Equiduct for the third month in a row with turnover of €334 million. Seven of the top ten traded stocks were Spanish, accounting for €1.3 billion in turnover in May. GLEp, Societe Generale, was the top traded stock outside of Spain with turnover of €185 million. In the latest edition of Equiduct’s Retail Insights series, we explore the most actively traded sectors in April 2024, focusing on the net notional imbalances per sector. The bearish trend across most industries continues this month. The Financial sector recorded by far the biggest sell imbalance of €411 million. In contrast, retail investors showed an appetite for buying across different industries, with the top three being Technology, Consumer Discretionary, and Utilities sectors, resulting in a collective buying imbalance totaling €218 million.
