Turn your money into something greater with Moneybox.
About us
At Moneybox, we help you turn your money into something greater. Millions of us want to achieve more with our money. But whether we’re looking to save for a rainy day, grow our money, buy a home, or even build a retirement fund, we leave it at the bottom of our to-do lists because we're not sure how to get started. This isn’t surprising. We aren’t taught about financial planning at school, the wealth industry was built to serve a minority, and it often feels like banks don’t care about helping us achieve outcomes. To top it off, the financial services industry is fragmented and confusing. This means that our money often isn’t working hard enough and our goals are much harder to achieve. So, we made a solution. We've brought saving, investing, home-buying, and retirement services together into one simple app. So people can reach their goals and build wealth with confidence, whatever their starting point. We want to help people build wealth, but our mission goes beyond that. We believe that building wealth isn’t simply about accumulating more money. It’s about going after the life you want and enjoying it to the fullest, today and tomorrow. This is what it means to turn your money into something greater.

Our research found that feeling financially confident has a significant impact on consumers' financial prospects, emphasising the critical importance of the Financial Conduct Authority and HM Treasury's Advice Guidance Boundary Review. Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Jessica Beard, our Head of Personal Finance, Brian Byrnes, explained that regardless of income, those who feel financial confident typically have double the net wealth of those with lower levels of financial confidence. And, perhaps more importantly, the most significant factor that can boost your financial confidence is simply spending time learning about personal finance topics. #MoneyboxFinancialConfidenceIndex #FinancialAdvice #AdviceGuidanceBoundaryReview #FCA #AGBR

In recent years, people in the UK have felt their finances stretched like never before, thanks to a global pandemic, soaring inflation, the resulting cost of living crisis, and ever-increasing rents. If these events have taught us anything, it’s that financial resilience is key. The government needs to empower people to build wealth and achieve their financial goals. That’s why we’re asking them to commit to a few pragmatic initiatives in order to revolutionise customer finances now and for generations to come: 🏠 Younger generations currently face the toughest conditions in 70 years to buy a home. That is why any incoming government needs to prioritise future-proofing the Lifetime ISA. This will help aspiring first-time buyers save, as well as reward positive saving behaviours. 🌱 The next government must also help drive a culture shift toward investing to boost the nation's prosperity. Only 30% of UK adults currently invest, which means millions of people are missing out due to low financial confidence. The Advice Guidance Boundary Review presents the most exciting development in consumer finances in over a decade and, with the right support, could help people make financial decisions with confidence in the very near future. 🧓 The pensions dashboard could be a valuable tool that encourages people to take control of their retirement savings earlier in life. After several false starts, it must become a political priority to improve the health of the nation’s pensions. #GeneralElection #FinancialResilience #PersonalFinance Sources: - Age old problems, modern solutions: a roadmap for change report by The Building Societies Association, 2024 - Moneybox survey of 4,000 UK adults, December 2024

“Simply educating others and encouraging open conversations is an excellent way to promote inclusivity, especially in the workplace.” Meet Brandon, the Network Lead for our LGBTQ+ Network. He explains how the network is having a positive impact on the Moneybox community, from promoting workplace equality to fostering a safe space for LGBTQ+ team members. ⬇️ 🎯 What are the mission and goals of the LGBTQ+ network? Our LGBTQ+ Network is a private, safe space for employees who identify as part of the community. This space allows us to connect, share experiences, and discuss diversity. We also raise awareness on LGBTQ+ issues, educating the wider company on topics like adoption, transgender rights, and HIV/AIDS stigma. ❤️ What does the network mean to you? To me, the network is a great opportunity to meet fellow LGBTQ+ colleagues and make new friends, while also spreading awareness of important issues within the wider business. 💡 What inspired you to join the LGBTQ+ Network and what has your experience been like? I’m very open with my sexuality, so when I joined Moneybox and learned about the network, I was eager to join. I'd never worked somewhere with a dedicated group for LGBTQ+ people and thought it was an amazing initiative. Most recently, I became the Network Lead which involves organising company-wide events like Pride Month with the help of our People team and planning our network socials. It's been a great experience, and I’ve enjoyed seeing our network's growing presence in the company. 🏳️🌈 What are some of the key initiatives or events the network has organised recently? Last Pride Month, we invited a drag queen to host a drag-themed bingo in the office. It was a huge success with many attendees, some experiencing drag for the first time. That was a real highlight for me! We also mark World AIDS Day on December 1st annually. This is important to us because of the ongoing stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. In previous years, we’ve hosted office bake sales to raise funds for the Terrence Higgins Trust, which supports the fight against HIV/AIDS. 🤔 What advice would you give to other organisations looking to start or grow their own LGBTQ+ network? For some, being out at work can be intimidating, so knowing there's a safe space can help them feel more comfortable. Regular reminders on internal channels about the network, our mission, and our welcoming nature are beneficial. #PrideMonth #PrideMonth2024 #PrideAtWork
