Last month, 127 Boots team members successfully completed Challenge 175, the ultimate endurance fundraiser, to help raise money for our 15-year partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. Team members chose to either cycle 175k, run 17.5 miles or swim 1.75k or 175m 💚 A massive well done to everyone involved!

Our 50 year club gained 18 new members and one member achieved a record-breaking 63 years of service. 🏆 The club celebrates the amazing loyalty and dedication of our colleagues who have given over 50 years’ continuous service to their customers, colleagues and communities! Sebastian James, Managing Director, Boots will leave the company in November after six years. He will leave the Boots business in great shape. Alongside Ornella Barra and the Boots senior leadership team, Seb has led the successful transformation of the Boots business into the UK’s leading health and beauty retailer. The business has delivered thirteen consecutive quarters of retail market share growth, most recently announcing strong Q3 results in June with growth across all categories. We're excited to announce that we have won Best Beauty Retailer at The Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards 2024 making us the winner of this category for the seventh year in a row! 🏆 Last year was another transformative year for beauty at Boots. We added 49 new brands to our portfolio of over 500 beauty brands. As well as launching the ground-breaking No7 Future Renew skincare innovation, we also unveiled the ultimate beauty playground, Boots Beauty store, at Battersea Power Station. Thank you to each and every team member who contributed to us winning this award. 👏

We have delivered over 85,000 NHS Pharmacy First consultations in England since its launch earlier this year, potentially saving as many GP appointments. Our pharmacists are delivering over 20,000 consultations a month, providing patients with advice and treatment for seven common conditions. Under the NHS Pharmacy First scheme, pharmacies in England can now offer patients access to advice and treatment, including some prescription medicines for seven common conditions. The availability of the service and the training we have has provided pharmacists to deliver it has also saved lives. Helen Carey, a Pharmacist in West Sussex, was able to refer a patient straight to A&E for lifesaving treatment thanks to the training she received to deliver Pharmacy First to patients. She said: “As soon as the patient walked through the door, alarm bells rang, he could barely speak, so I told his mum to take him immediately to A&E. The teenager’s father has recently been in to see me and told me that his son might not be here if I hadn’t referred them to the hospital straight away.” A huge thank you to our amazing pharmacy team members who have worked incredibly hard to make this service a success! Last week our Environmental Sustainability business resource group were buzzed to hold a 'Meet the Bees’ event at our Nottingham site. 🐝 We're lucky enough to have two beehives on site and 100 of our team members were able to learn more about the honey bees from our professional beekeeper throughout the day.
