Bonhams is set to hold three auctions of American fine art later this summer. The three sales include one live auction—California and Western Art—and two online-only sales, the Art of Hawaii and American Art. California and Western Art, taking place Aug. 6 in Los Angeles, will be led by a still life by Franz Arthur Bischoff titled Roses, which is estimated to fetch between US$300,000 and US$500,000. Jim Carrey, acclaimed actor, artist and writer, will present a selection of his eclectic and captivating art and design collection at Bonhams Los Angeles on July 25 as part of the Modern Design | Art sale. The 35-lot collection reflects Carrey's vibrant and creative spirit and has been meticulously curated by Carrey over nearly 30 years. Commenting on the sale, Jim Carrey said: "It's been my very good fortune to be surrounded by many of the finer things in life and I'm always gratified when it's time to let them go so that others may enjoy them as well." The Rory Gallagher Collection comes to London in October 🎸 Known for his legendary live performances, the Irish musician and songwriter Rory Gallagher (1948-1995) was an inspiration to many and is one of the most esteemed guitarists of all time.  ‘He was my hero armed with nothing but passion and a beat up 1961 Fender Stratocaster,’ said Joe Bonamassa. A pink and blue 'toi et moi' diamond ring sold for nearly double its high estimate in Bonhams London last week 💎 The Mouawad jewel, featuring a radiant-cut 5.03 fancy-intense-blue diamond obliquely-set with a radiant-cut 5.13 carat fancy-purple-pink diamond was the star of the show, selling for £2,952,400 inc. premium against a high estimate of £1,500,000.
