How many companies will REALLY make it to S/4HANA by the 2027 deadline? Over the past few months, I’ve been building an adoption model that uses data-driven projections to answer this common question. Using public data from SAP and Gartner, as well as our own data at Basis Technologies, the model (which has been peer-reviewed by some of the top SAP experts in the world) found that: 1️⃣ 43% of ECC customers will not have completed their S/4HANA migrations by end of 2027 2️⃣ 55% of all ECC and S/4HANA customers will be out of mainstream maintenance by 2027 3️⃣ Demand for migration resources will peak at the end of 2027, requiring 75% more resources than today These findings have significant implications for any business delaying their migration. Securing necessary resources will become much more challenging, potentially leading to a smaller-scale Y2K event. I'm thrilled to see that ComputerWeekly.com has already published these data points this week.
