Welcome to all 43 exceptional individuals in our 2024 Aged Care Expansion program cohort✨ These individuals will pursue a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) through Alphacrucis University College during their four-year placement in aged care facilities across rural and remote communities in Australia. Through our partnership with the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme, workers from the Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste receive essential training and skills development. This initiative addresses labour gaps in various sectors across Australia and equips these workers with valuable new skills they can share with their home communities upon their return. Our 2024 PALMS Scheme cohort has completed Unit 1 of their Certificate III of Individual Support (Ageing)! The 43 wonderful participants that make up this year's Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme cohort of 2024 are currently embarking on their 18-week training course to obtain a Certificate III of Individual Support (Ageing) through Alphacrucis University College. Once complete, they will be ready to make the transition to Australia on a four-year work placement, supporting the elderly by delivering high quality aged care services in rural and regional communities. We are excited to see their knowledge and skills develop.
