Water stewardship has been a longstanding priority for Serengeti Breweries. Through our "Water for Life" initiative, we have taken bold steps in the right direction. Today, we are proud to hand over a water supply project that will provide clean and safe water to 12,000 residents in Kabila Village, Magu District, Mwanza region. In partnership with the African Community Advancement Initiative (AFRIcai), the project entailed installation of submersible pump in the borehole, construction of pump-house, water storage cement block tank, pipe network and 13 new water points with a capacity to yield 87,000 Cubic meters of water per year. Our Managing Director Obinna Anyalebechi and AFRIcai Managing Director, Bonus Caesar, joined hands with Mwanza Regional Commissioner, Said Mtanda, to launch the project, reinforcing a strong public-private partnership committed to corporate social responsibility. This initiative aims to enhance economic productivity, particularly for women and girls, who will no longer need to spend long hours fetching water, thus enabling them to focus on other economic activities. #leadingtheway #Society2030 #WaterForlife #WASH

On World Environment Day, we reaffirm our commitment to addressing the most pressing environmental opportunities and risks through our sustainability strategy, Society 2030: Spirit of Progress. Our third pillar, Pioneering Grain to Glass Sustainability, is central to our efforts in combating climate change. Aligned with this year's theme of land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience, we are dedicated to preserving water for life by, so far, implementing 26 community water projects across Tanzania, providing clean and safe water to over 2 million people. Additionally, we accelerate the transition to a low-carbon world by planting trees throughout Tanzania to curb desertification and maintain soil health. Through our 'Become Sustainable by Design' sub-pillar, we train over 500 farmers in regenerative agriculture methods, fostering sustainable farming practices that enhance drought resilience and promote land restoration.
