2024 『海』好有你．沙灘不哭泣 ，『淨』其全力．台灣更美麗! At the 15th of June, our team participated in a beach clean-up activity at [Dà'ān Beach] in Taichung, Taiwan, in collaboration with a Taichung government.   We were motivated by a desire to give back to the ocean (and the ocean economy) that sustains us, and by the belief that there are few better ways to strengthen team spirit than working together towards a meaningful goal.   The first part of the clean-up focused on a 2-kilometer survey stretch along. Over the course of an hour, we collected nearly 40 kg of waste. This translates to an average of 6.6 kg per volunteer, or roughly one heavy piece collected by each of us every minute throughout the hour. #CSR #ESG #beachcleanup #makethingsdifferent

Today marks the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in Taiwan, also known as 端午節. One of the most popular customs during this festival is the "standing egg" activity, where individuals try to balance an egg on its end at exactly noon. 🥚 It is believed that achieving this feat will bring good luck and fortune. At our company, we organized a standing egg activity during lunchtime, and it was a moment of fun and laughter for everyone involved. Some of our colleagues were experiencing this tradition for the first time, and it was interesting to see who managed to succeed and who didn't. May 10th, 2024 Shirley Parsons Taiwan was proud to participate in the inaugural "Taichung International Student and Business Networking Seminar," co-hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Taichung (AmCham Taichung) and the CIEA. This groundbreaking event was specifically designed to forge communication bridges between international students and local businesses in Taichung, aimed at fostering meaningful interactions and collaborations. During the seminar, we had the opportunity to present our company's core values and business models in detail to the international students. This allowed us not only to share our vision but also to gain valuable insights into the students' career aspirations and perspectives on the future work environment. This engagement significantly enhanced our understanding of emerging talent and laid the groundwork for potential future partnerships. Through the discussions that took place, we were able to more accurately align student competencies with industry requirements, thereby increasing the opportunities for successful collaborations between businesses and educational institutions.
