4"LAX to NYC in first class is, well, slightly less uncomfortable than economy." A minor quibble, for some time, AA and others have offered full flat beds in business and first class on their transcon routes between JFK and LAX and JFK and SFO. But then again they do charge quite a lot more for those planes than the terrible recliners they offer on other routes, and the market just about supports it.– CalchasCommented Oct 26, 2016 at 21:18

@Calchas yes indeed, I should fix that. As you point out the price differential there is greater.– ablighCommented Oct 26, 2016 at 22:29

I am told the experience is now far better do you mean that BA first class always includes a free bottle of claret/champagne/whisky, etc. ? :) I think you meant far worse.– Mari-Lou ACommented Jul 25, 2018 at 6:56

1@Mari-Lou-A Nope. I meant (at the time) I understood BA first had now got even better. It hasn't really. I think the bottle of wine was a one off.– ablighCommented Jul 26, 2018 at 6:24

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. air-travel), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
