I am now mostly accruing miles on Cathay Pacific & Thai Airways, so I have a couple of comparison points. I can assure you that Flying Blue, especially once you reach Gold (an, even better, Platinum, which I was a few years), you can really accrue mileage quickly, compared to CX or TG. And I failed last year to renew my Gold status with CX, despite flying several times monthly, due to their system "upgrade" – which shifted tier qualification from mileage/sectors to points, putting an emphasis on dollars paid. | |
