Textile Exchange Unified Standard Pilot: USB Certification Participated in Pilot on Recycled Cotton in Uşak, Türkiye Textile Exchange collaborated with USB Certification audit and technical team for a pilot in Uşak between May 13-15, 2024 as part of the upcoming standard update and unification, set to be implemented in 2026. The pilot focused on auditing of a recycling site for cotton products and evaluation of the standard requirements against the backdrop of the recycling industry. The Pilot Version 1.0 of the unified standard, seeks to integrate the Climate+ Strategy into Textile Exchange’s standards, streamline a more cohesive system across all standards, and enhance consumer-facing communication.   Textile Exchange Unified Standard Pilot Uygulaması: USB Certification, Uşak’ta Gerçekleşen Geri Dönüştürülmüş Pamuk Pilot Uygulamasına Katıldı. Textile Exchange ve USB Certification denetim ve teknik ekipleri, 2026 yılında uygulamaya konacak olan standart güncellemesi ve birleştirmesinin bir parçası olarak 13-15 Mayıs 2024 tarihleri arasında Uşak'ta bir pilot uygulama için iş birliği yaptı. Pilot uygulama, pamuklu ürünler için bir geri dönüşüm tesisinin denetlenmesine ve standart gerekliliklerinin geri dönüşüm endüstrisi zemininde değerlendirilmesine odaklandı. Unified Standard Pilot Versiyon 1.0, İklim+ Stratejisini Textile Exchange'in standartlarına entegre etmeyi, tüm standartlar arasında daha uyumlu bir sistem oluşturmayı ve tüketiciye yönelik iletişimi geliştirmeyi amaçlıyor.

The Better Cotton 2024 Annual Conference, sponsored by USB Certification, brought together industry leaders, farmers, and experts for two days of insightful discussions and inspiring stories. Nesrin Serin, our Founder and General Manager, highlighted the role of conformity assessment and emphasized the importance of integrity and adherence to program rules in her speech at the opening of the 2nd day of the conference. Additionally, Ali Ertuğrul, our Technical and Quality Manager, spoke in a session on the role of certification in traceability. We also organized a workshop to discuss the use of alternative materials in the textile industry. As USB Certification we enjoyed being a supporter and participant of this important event, appreciating all the enlightening speeches and discussions and meeting great people. USB Certification Bangladesh hosted the program 'Sustainable Capacity Development: Technical Aspects and Practical Challenges' on June 5, 2024, in Dhaka. The main focus of the program was to advance sustainable capacity development by tackling technical aspects and practical challenges across diverse industries. Mr. Bilal Belyurt, the Commercial Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Dhaka, grace the occasion as our esteemed chief guest. Additionally, on behalf of the USB Certification, Mrs. Nesrin Serin, Founder and General Manager, Ms. Selin Ay, Human Resources Manager, Ali Ertuğrul, Technical and Quality Manager and Engg. On the 22nd of May, 2024 USB Certification and Public lnstitution (PI) EKOAGROS have agreed to cooperate in providing certification services in accordance with the National Organic Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA NOP) (USDA NOP Final Rule 7 CFR Part 205) for organic crops, livestock, wild crops and handling in the territory of the Republic of Türkiye. PI EKOAGROS is a non-profit public organization that is authorized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Agriculture to carry out the certification of organically produced products according to the EU organic standard in Lithuania. Founded in Kaunas, Lithuania on 14 March 1997 Ekoagros was the first organic product certification body in the Baltic States. It’s areas of competence include certification and control of organic agriculture and food production, organic livestock and processing. Since 2017 Ekoagros is accredited to certify according to the USDA NOP standard. USB Certification ve EKOAGROS, 22 Mayıs 2024 tarihinde Türkiye’de organik ürünler, çiftlik hayvanları, yabani ürünler ve elleçleme için Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Tarım Bakanlığı (USDA NOP) Ulusal Organik Programı (USDA NOP Nihai Kuralı 7 CFR Bölüm 205) uyarınca sertifikasyon hizmetleri sağlamak üzere işbirliği yapmak için anlaştılar. EKOAGROS, Litvanya'da AB organik standardına göre organik olarak üretilen ürünlerin sertifikasyonunu gerçekleştirmek üzere Litvanya Tarım Bakanlığı tarafından yetkilendirilmiş, kâr amacı gütmeyen bir kamu kuruluşudur. 🌱 Exciting milestone for organic cotton in Türkiye! 🌱 To mark the successful launch of OCA in Türkiye, we held our first event in the country bringing together over 60 participants from across Türkiye and beyond.
