Buzz over internet

Slater's mother, Debbie Duncan, expressed concern that the online chatter is negatively impacting the search. "They have actually said that there's too much noise, that's affecting it," she said, referring to the Spanish police's comments.
Several fundraising pages were created to support the search but were later suspended by GoFundMe due to concerns over the organizers' identities. A Facebook group reportedly set up by Slater's family stated that Ms Duncan did not want fundraising pages created.
Moreover, the admin of a Facebook page dedicated to helping the search reported that someone other than Slater had logged into the 19-year-old's Instagram account.
