Actress Kim Mi Kyung, renowned for her portrayals of maternal figures in popular dramas like 'The Heir's and 'Welcome to Samdal-ri', is grappling with sorrow following the recent loss of her mother. In a touching message shared with her supporters, Kim expressed her deep grief while also conveying gratitude for the outpouring of compassion she has received during this challenging time.

"I have sent my mother off. It feels like a mountain has collapsed and my hometown has disappeared, but I believe my mother has gone to a better place, so I will not cling to her but send her off well", read an English translation of Kim's note, capturing the enormity of her loss and her belief in her mother's peaceful journey.

Acknowledging the overwhelming support she has received, Kim bowed her head in sincere appreciation to those who provided comfort and strength. She expressed, "To everyone who gave me comfort and strength, to those who rushed to hold my hand and embrace me, I sincerely bow my head in gratitude. I will not forget your kindness". Offering her support in return, Kim extended a comforting gesture to anyone facing adversity, "If ever you have a difficult day, please call me. I will come running".
Kim Mi Kyung’s mother passed away earlier this week on July 3, and the funeral was solemnly held on July 5 at Seoul City Cemetery in Donghwa Kyungmo Park.
