Cooku with Comali Season 5: Vasanth Vasi gets evicted; Sujithra Dhanush and Kemy win 'chef of the week' title

The fifth edition of the popular cooking show, Cooku with Comali, witnessed its second elimination this week as Pandian Stores 2 actor Vasanth Vasi, a promising contestant, was evicted from the show.

In the latest episode, chefs Madhampetti Rangaraj and Damu announced the 'Biriyani Challenge'. This week's unique twist was the 'Run Bicycle' task, where the Comalis had to prepare dishes without the help of the cooks, who were required to run a bicycle.

Sujithra Dhanush, having won the advantage task in the previous episode, was granted special permission to assist her Comali in the last ten minutes of the challenge.
Despite being a strong contender, Vasanth Vasi faced elimination. In a nail-biting elimination round, Vasanth Vasi, Pooja Venkat, and Akshay Kamal, all considered potential title winners by the judges, competed fiercely. Ultimately, Vasanth Vasi was eliminated, while Pooja Venkat and Akshay Kamal advanced to the next episode.

Vasanth Vasi broke down emotionally and responded with heartfelt words, "I will miss all the Comalis. Chef Madhampetti Rangaraj sir and Chef Damu sir, you are both so inspiring to us. I definitely want to come back as a wild card. I will miss you all, and thanks to the audience for giving a lot of love.”
Meanwhile, the team of Sujithra Dhanush and Kemy won the Chef of the Week title and received special gifts from Madhampetti Rangaraj and Chef Damu.

With every alternate week being an elimination week, the competition among the contestants is intensifying in Cooku with Comali Season 5. The show began with ten contestants, and after Vasanth Vasi's elimination, the remaining contestants are Sujithra Dhanush, Dhivya Duraisamy, Priyanka Deshpande, Pooja Venkat, Shaalin Zoya, Vtv Ganesh, Irfan, and Akshay Kamal.
This season, in addition to the usual comical drama, the recipes prepared by the contestants have gained popularity on social media, with several videos of their dishes circulating online.
