Indrasish Roy exits ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’; Arnab Banerjee takes the reins of Rudro

Indrasish Roy is one of the most well-known faces in the Bengali entertainment industry. The handsome hunk was seen portraying the character of Ashman on the popular Bengali mega serial ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha’ till mid-June. After ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha’ went off-air, Indrasish moved on to his next Bengali daily ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’. The actor was introduced as the new male lead on the show.However, Indrasish has taken leave from the show in a month. ‘Alo Chhaya’ famed actor Arnab Banerjee has replaced him.

Indrasish took on the role of Rudro in ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’ right after he wrapped shooting for ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha’. However, his health deteriorated because of the hectic work schedule. Due to health-related issues, Indrasish had to leave ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’. However, the channel authority and the showrunners were swift to find a replacement for Indrasish quickly. ‘Alta Phoring’ famed actor Arnab Banerjee came on board to take the reins of Rudro.
‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’ starred Rahul Mazumdar as the male lead of the show since its inception. Rahul said goodbye to his much-loved character Shankar (the male protagonist) on the show, a while ago. The storyline of ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’ took a leap of 15 years. As per the track of the show, Oishani (the female protagonist) underwent immense training and had emerged as an IPS officer, protecting the status of the nation and her family, alongside nurturing her and Shankar’s daughter Dhriti. But tragedy did not leave the family to their happily-ever-after. Later the entire Ghosh family died in a car accident caused by a business rival. The story of the show now follows Dhriti, Shankar and Oishani’s daughter’s journey. Dhriti, who was the sole survivor of the accident, is now grown up after she was rescued by a man and renamed Gouri.
Rahul and Subhosmita acted as a pair on ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’ since its inception. Although Rahul decided to move on from the show and his character on the show, (Shankar) as per the story, is deceased now – Subhosmita is seen as Dhriti aka Gouri. Currently, she is paired with Rudro, played by Arnab.
