The wedding of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani is probably the most-awaited cultural event in India these days. Mukesh and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant is all set to exchange wedding vows on 12 July, 2024. The several lavish pre-wedding festivities have already been making headlines with the attendance of eminent personalities and extravagant celebrations.

But here we are going to talk about Anant and Radhika's highly anticipated grand wedding venue which is none other than the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. Let’s have a closer look at this grand convention centre:

The Jio World Convention Centre was inaugurated in March 2022. Spread over a huge area of 1,03,012 sq m, the centre is India's premier destination for top-tier exhibitions, conventions, meetings, weddings and social gatherings. The versatile venues here are designed to accommodate physical, virtual, and hybrid events.

Calling it an architectural wonder wouldn’t be incorrect. The entire place is designed to host international gatherings, corporate events, and cultural extravaganzas on a grand level.


What all is inside it?

The Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai's premier business district boasts state-of-the-art facilities designed to accommodate the most demanding of international events. The complex boasts multiple convention halls, exhibition spaces, and auditoriums.

The centre features three Exhibition Halls, two Convention Halls, one Ballroom, 25 Meeting Rooms and Suites, two Business Lounges, and multi-storey concourses. There’s also a dedicated Registration Hall with an adjoining Business Centre.

Not only this, the convention centre also has the Cultural Centre, Jio World Plaza, Jio World Residences, The Clubhouse, Jio World Garden, Jio World Drive, and Bay Club. These facilities form an integrated network within BKC.

Prime attractions

The musical fountain: One of the prime attractions inside is the grand musical water fountain. The stellar water show begins in the evening and is a crowd puller.

Drive-In Theatre: The centre is also known for being home to Mumbai’s first drive-in theatre. Operated by PVR, it accommodates up to 290 cars, offering a cutting-edge cinematic experience. It boasts one of India's largest screens at 25m by 12m with 4K projection.

Ticket prices range from INR 1,500 to INR 1,700 per movie.
