"Congress party has shamed the country's parliamentary system today. They did not give the chance to their MP from Manipur to speak. After Rahul Gandhi's 90-minute speech they could have given the chance to their leader from Manipur. The Congress party was not ready to listen to the truth. They hatched a conspiracy to disrupt the speech of the Prime Minister. No matter how much the Leader of the Opposition's behaviour yesterday is condemned is not enough. We expect the Congress party to restrain its behaviour in the interest of the country's democracy. PM Modi spoke about NEET today. The President had mentioned NEET in his speech and today the Prime Minister also mentioned it. Tomorrow there will be a discussion in the Rajya Sabha as well," said Pradhan.

"Prime Minister was only putting forward facts. The irresponsible behaviour of the opposition today is only demonstrated when there is a lack of facts and arguments. If Manipur was their main priority, they should have let their MPs from Manipur speak after Rahul Gandhi," said Union minister Paswan.

"The opposition's reaction during the Prime Minister's speech is condemnable... Congress was allotted 3 hours 48 minutes to speak... When they should have given their MP a chance to speak, they did not let him speak, and when PM Narendra Modi got up to speak, they alleged that their Manipur MP was not allowed to speak. Congress should apologise to the people of Manipur for politicising such a sensitive matter... I feel sorry for the new MPs. How will they learn? When the Prime Minister is speaking, the MPs are not being given a chance to hear what he is saying. This is not the tradition of our Indian Parliamentary democracy," said Rijuju.

"Nothing new. It was again targeting the opposition. There was no response or reply to the questions raised by the opposition," said Kanimozhi.

"Maximum part of his speech was aimed at one person. Who will talk about the country in such cases? Rahul Gandhi speaks about Narendra Modi and vice versa. Who is talking about the countrymen?," said Badal.

"This behaviour in the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha is shameful. We listened to everything Rahul Gandhi had to say. Why wouldn't they let us speak? Can they not listen to the truth? The resolution passed today is justified... The nation saw that the advocates of democracy and constitution do not let the Prime Minister speak in the Parliament," said Prasad.

"I will tell every student of the country, every youth of the country that the government is very serious about preventing such incidents and we are taking one step after another to fulfill our responsibilities on a war footing. Those who play with the future of the youth will not be spared at all. Arrests are being made continuously across the country in the NEET case. The central government has already made a strict law. Necessary steps are being taken to strengthen the entire system of conducting the examination," said PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asks opposition to work together in matters of national interest, says its state governments should compete with NDA in good governance.

"There are reports of many people dying in the stampede in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. I express my condolences to those who lost their lives in this accident. I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. The administration is engaged in relief and rescue work under the supervision of the state government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took repeated digs at the opposition as he highlighted the achievements of NDA rule of the last 10 years that helped the ruling combine win people's support for a third term.

"The people of country have given us this mandate after testing us on every criteria. The people have seen our track record of 10 years," Prime Minister Modi said in his reply to the Motion of Thanks on President's address in Lok Sabha, amid vociferous protests by opposition members.

"This is the 50th year of Emergency. Emergency was imposed on the country due to the dictatorial mentality of the people in power. Congress had crossed all limits of arrogance. Toppling governments, suppressing the media, everything was against the spirit of the Constitution. These are the people who have done injustice to the Dalits of the country, to the backward people of the country from the very beginning and for this reason, Baba Saheb Ambedkar had resigned from Nehru's cabinet due to the anti-Dalit, anti-backward mentality of the Congress," said PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

"We will not be able to protect parliamentary democracy without taking seriously what happened yesterday. We should not ignore these acts by calling them childish, by considering them childish, we should not ignore them at all and I am saying this because the intentions behind this are not good and I also want to awaken the countrymen," said PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called upon Speaker Om Birla to consider taking action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his first speech as the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha.

The Prime Minister, while responding to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's Address in Lok Sabha, accused Gandhi of attempting to garner sympathy in Parliament and urged the speaker to take a firm stance against what he termed a "tradition of lies" within the House.

"This is the nation's bad luck that Congress, which ruled for six decades, is busy spreading anarchy. They go to South and speak against people of North; they speak against South when they go to North. They have made all possible attempts to create a divide on the basis of language. The leaders who advocated separation of a part of the country, they were given Parliament ticket by the Congress," said PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

"Congress spread lies regarding EVM, lies regarding Constitution, lies regarding reservation, before that, lies regarding Rafale, HAL, LIC, banks. They even had the courage to mislead the House yesterday. They told lies regarding Agniveer. They said that MSP is not being given," said PM Modi.

"They coined phrases like 'Hindu terrorism', their ally likened this religion to dengue; country will never forgive them," said PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday mocked Rahul Gandhi repeatedly referring to the leader of opposition as a child without taking his name and using "balak budhi" jibe to slam the Congress leader. "We saw childish behaviour in Lok Sabha yesterday," said PM Modi in a swipe at Rahul's speech in Lok Sabha on Monday.

"On July 1, the country celebrated the 'Khata Khat Diwas', and people were checking their bank accounts to see whether they have received Rs 8,500 or not. The Congress misled the people in these (Lok Sabha) elections and lied that they will provide Rs 8,500 to our mothers and sisters. The curse of our mothers and sisters is going to destroy Congress," said PM Modi.

PM Modi while targeting Rahul Gandhi request speaker Om Birla to take strict action against this 'tradition of lies' in the House

"A new drama has been started to gain sympathy but the country knows the truth that he (Rahul Gandhi) is out on bail in a case of embezzlement of thousands of crores of rupees. He has been convicted in a case of calling OBC people thieves. He had to apologize after making irresponsible statement in the Supreme Court. There is a case against him for insulting a great personality like great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar... Today the country is telling him, tumse na ho payega," said PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

"An attempt has been made to spread anarchy by questioning the democratic process of India. The politics that was spread regarding CAA, the game of misleading the people of the country, all efforts were made to emphasise that their political motives are fulfilled. Efforts have been made to push the country into riots. A new drama has been started these days to gain sympathy. A new game is being played," said PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called Congress a "parasite" and also accused the grand old party of spreading anarchy in the country.

"If you analyse the results of just-concluded Lok Sabha results, you will see that where the Congress fought alone it could not win many seats. But in states where the grand old party piggybacked on other parties, it made considerable gains," PM Modi said."This shows that Congress now eats away the votes of parties with which it associates like a parasite," he added.

"The Congress party is openly creating new narratives and spreading new plans every day to put one caste against another...It was clearly announced from various platforms that if the result they want is not achieved, the country will be set on fire on 4th June. People will gather, anarchy will be spread and these appeals were made in large numbers. Spreading anarchy is their aim," said PM Modi.

"Let's remember the elections of 1984. Following those elections, 10 Lok Sabha polls were held in this country, but Congress couldn't even cross the 250-mark even once. This time the Congress somehow bagged 99 seats. This reminds of a child who was telling everyone that he received 99 marks. Later, that child's teacher told that the child had received 99 marks out of 543, and not out of 100. There's no one to make that child understand that he has made a new world record in failing," said PM Modi.

Congress became parasitic party in these elections, its allies are behind its victory in most of the 99 seats it won: PM Modi

"In the last 10 years, we have taken India's economy to number 5 from number 10. Now, we will take the country's economy to number 3. In the last 10 years, we have made India a big manufacturer of mobile phones, made India a big exporter of mobile phones. Now, we are going to do the same thing in semiconductors and other sectors in our tenure. The chips that will be useful in important works of the world, those chips will be prepared on the soil of my India," said PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a jibe at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi citing the famous Hindi movie 'Sholay'.

Giving a spin on a scene between Amitabh Bachchan's character 'Jai' and 'Mausiji', PM Modi said, "Teesri baar hi toh haare hai, par Mausi, moral victory toh hain na. [Have lost for the third time, but at least it's a moral victory]."

"The people of this country have given a mandate to the Congress in the 2024 elections and the mandate of this country is that you sit there, sit in the opposition and when the arguments end, keep shouting. Congress could not cross 100-mark for three times in row," said PM Modi.

"People gave us mandate for stability, continuity; NDA scored unprecedented success in 4 state polls as well.Our third term means we will work at three times the speed, we will put in three times the energy. Our third term means we will give three times the results to the people of the country," PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

"There was a time before 2014 when terrorists could come and attack wherever they wanted. Innocent people were killed, every corner of India was targeted and the governments used to sit quietly. 2014 ke baad ka Hindustan ghar mein ghus kar maarta hain," PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

"If we remember those days of 2014, we will realise that the people of our country had lost their self-confidence. The country had drowned in the abyss of despair. At such a time, before 2014, the biggest loss that the country had suffered was the loss of self-confidence of the countrymen and when trust and self-confidence are lost, it becomes difficult for the person, the society, the country to stand up," PM Modi.

"I assure the countrymen that we have taken the resolution of Viksit Bharat and we will make efforts to fulfil that resolution and we will do it with full dedication and honesty and we will spend every moment of our time to fulfil this resolution," said PM Modi in Lok Sabha.

In the last 10 years, our government has been working with the objective of 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'. This country has seen politics of appeasement for a long time, this country has seen model of governance of appeasement for a long time. We have moved forward with the idea of 'santushtikaran' (satisfaction), not appeasement," said PM Modi.

"The country has blessed us for our zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. Today India's credibility has increased across the world. The sole aim of our every policy, every decision, every action has been India first," said PM Modi.

"The country has witnessed a successful election campaign and showed the world that this was the world's biggest election campaign, in which people of the country have chosen us. I can understand the pain of some people that despite speaking lies, they faced crushing defeat," said PM Modi.

Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla slams the leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi for directing members to enter Well of House in protest during PM Modi's reply to Motion of Thanks on President's speech in Lok Sabha.

"Our aim is to engage constructively in the interest of 24 lakh NEET aspirants who deserve answers. I believe that it would be fitting if you were to lead this debate" wrote Gandhi in his letter.

"Today I have given a notice to the Lok Sabha Speaker because yesterday the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made a lot of inappropriate statements in the House. He had said that there is no compensation under the Agniveer scheme, which is completely wrong... If they (Agniveers) get martyred, their families get compensation up to Rs 1 crore... He (Rahul Gandhi) had said that the Modi government does not give MSP to farmers, this is also completely wrong... MSP has been increased by more than 100% in some crops... His statement was deliberately given to mislead the House... For us, the farmers of the country are like God... BJP and the BJP government have never called any farmer a terrorist," said Swaraj.

Bharatiya Rashtriya Congress leader Lakshman Singh said, "The comments made on "Hindus" in the Parliament are indecent and unnecessary. It would be appropriate to raise only and only issues related to the people and the country."
