Amir Hamza, a retired Pakistan army brigadier with a strong link to the country’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was killed by unknown gunmen in Jhelum district in Pakistan’s Punjab province on June 17.
According to counter-terror agencies, Hamza was allegedly involved in ISI-engineered operations against India and was seen as among the brains behind the 2018 attack on Sunjwan Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir. Six soldiers were killed and more than a dozen injured in the attack.
