Didn't vote for me, won't work for you, says BJP MLA who lost Lok Sabha polls
BIJNOR: BJP MLA from Nahtaur assembly constituency, Om Kumar, who recently lost the Lok Sabha poll from Nagina seat to Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar Azad, lashed out at voters: "Now those days have gone when people would not vote for me and I would tell them that if they did not vote this time, they should vote next time and I would work for them without any discrimination.
But now if you do not vote for me, I will not work for you. (Sabka saath sabka vikas will not work here)." His statement at an event was widely circulated on social media.
Kumar also warned officers: "Officers who do not respect my workers and supporters will not be allowed to stay in the district. I will do anything for my supporters. Some netas misguided people about our Constitution. But I want to tell them that our Constitution will always remain the strongest in the world."
He attacked Azad, who had compared the kanwar yatra to 'namaaz' during Eid, saying, "The man who has been objecting to the kanwar yatra, I tell such people that if they have the courage, they should stop the yatra."
