Filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s recent release ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in key roles, is gaining attention from both movie enthusiasts and critics around the world. The movie had almost crossed Rs 900 crore worldwide in just 11 days of its release.
In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin revealed that the Big B of Bollywood still carries a humble and down-to-earth demeanor on set.
In a chat with India Today, Ashwin stated that Bachchan was really curious about technology and wanted to know how the team was going to make him 8 feet tall. Ashwin praised the great actor for his exemplary patience and professionalism on set. Despite the actor's significant star status and the frequent delays encountered during filming, he remained non-intrusive and cooperative. He further added that Bachchan would calmly endure the extensive process of applying prosthetics, wigs, and beards without any complaints.

Ashwin recounted a memorable moment from the first filming schedule when he was struck by Bachchan’s humility and understanding. During a delay, Ashwin was prepared to explain the situation, but the actor simply asked if he could use the restroom. Ashwin, surprised by the actor's politeness, told him he could do whatever he wanted, highlighting the actor's exceptional character and down-to-earth nature.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to share a picture from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and wrote, “Kalki was not just a film for me, it’s a learning, an education.” This is a clear validation of the filmmaker’s statement about the legendary actor being polite and humble on set. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Ashwatthama, an immortal character from the epic ‘Mahabharat.’
